The "About Me" Section
Well, let's see, my name is Elizabeth Anne Williams, also known as Liz. :) I have loved art ever since my little hand could pick up a pencil and a paintbrush.
I was very fortunate to major in Visual Arts in high school, at the School for Creative and Performing Arts. This is where I fell in love with watercolor. Watercolor is my absolute favorite medium, although I also enjoy acrylic, pencil, oil and chalk pastel, and occasionally charcoal.
After high school I enrolled in several Art classes at the University of Kentucky here and there, honestly to just have assignments to keep my painting, and from there I kept up with my painting with gifts for my family and friends.
In July of 2006, I married my best friend Matt, we were married at Talon Winery, and I painted vineyard scenes for both of our parents and grand-parents as wedding gifts.
Life's been a little busy this past year, Matt and I welcomed our first baby boy, Case Matthew into the world. He is absolutely the best thing to ever happen to us, and we have felt so blessed to have such a sweet baby boy!
As I mentioned earlier, it has been some time now since I have been wanting to get an art website up and running, so I am just so excited to get started.
I hope you enjoy my art, and there is much more to come. Most of my recent work has been given as gifts (i.e. Wedding, Baby Showers, Birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day etc) so unfortunately I don't have it to show you! I have actually set up our kitchen table to be an Art "Project Desk" for this winter, I hope to have lots and lots of prints to sell for the Gallery Hop next Summer, and for clientele as needed! I'm looking forward to it :)
"An Artist Cannot Fail, it is a Success to Be One"
Don't you just love that quote? I do!
Welcome to my blog! I have a personal blog as well, that is focused on my family, or more specifically our sweet baby boy Case!
However, I wanted to have a seperate one for my passion in life, which is art. :)
After a lot of "I'd like to do that someday"s, and a ton of encouragment from my husband, family and friends, I'm finally getting the ball rolling on developing some sort of website to show off my work.
I'm even designing some business cards to hand out! I'm so excited!
